Windstream Completes Acquisition Of Iowa Telecom – 96k broadband users added to the mix…

Last November Windstream Communications announced that they’d acquired Iowa Telecom in a deal valued at around 1.2 billion. The company this week announced that they’ve completed the deal — which adds another 249,000 access lines, 96,000 high-speed Internet customers and 27,500 digital TV customers in Iowa and Minnesota to Windstream’s total footprint. Windstream now offers service in roughly 23 states.
