Tektronix acquires Mixed Signals to enhance its IP video capabilities
Tektronix (NYSE: TEK) continues to round out its IP video network test offerings, and its acquisition of Mixed Signals is yet another proof point of that drive. Although the terms of the deal were not revealed, Tektronix will be able to add Mixed Signals’ Sentry, Consul and Medius video monitoring product lines. In addition to gaining new video monitoring products, Tektronix will get access to a well-established customer base. According to Mixed Signals, three of the largest U.S.-based cable MSOs have already deployed its Consul video network monitoring appliance. “The acquisition of Mixed Signals, Inc. brings to Tektronix a strong team that has delivered leading innovation to the video monitoring market,” said Eben Jenkins, General Manager of Tektronix Video Business in a release. “The combination of Mixed Signals and Tektronix accelerates our ability to provide unmatched next-generation video test and monitoring solutions to our customers.” Related articles:
