The French incumbent said it dropped its slander lawsuit against Xavier Niel, while Iliad withdrew the complaint it submitted to the European Union on how France Telecom sells wholesale DSL services.

In separate news, Iliad has also settled a $640 million lawsuit claiming that the French carrier prevented it from offering ADSL services between the years 2000 through 2005. However, neither service provider would say if they reached a financial settlement.
