Analyst: No Verizon iPhone Until 2011 – AT&T/Apple extended exclusivity another six months…

Wall Street analyst Brian Marshall seems to believe that AT&T got a six month extension on their exclusive deal to offer the iPhone — in exchange for agreeing to offer slightly less expensive (250MB for $15, unlimited for $30) no-contract 3G plans for the iPad. Marshall now thinks that Verizon won’t be getting access to the iPhone (something that was all but guaranteed this year according to countless rumors) until the first quarter of 2011. That gives AT&T more time to lock users into new two-year contracts when they unveil the newest iPhone next month. Of course given that Marshall provides no evidence (or even anonymous sourcing) for his statement — he could obviously be wrong.
