Post Microducts in USA

In northern Europe and other parts of the world microducts (flatliners, speedpipes, duct packages, etc.) are an essential part of the FTTx network.

I’d be interested to learn if microducts have a role to play in the USA. If so, where are they being deployed and who are the players?

If you decided against micorducts what were the reasons? Is it because here in USA you like to hang cables from poles?

Looking forward to some interesting dialogue here.

Meanwhile, here’s a short videoclip of how to design FTTH networks with microducts in AND. As well as smartly installing the microducts and connecting the sub-ducts to the homes the user can ”blow in” the fibre, check the optical budget and issue the bill of material.

I know of one system that tried to use blown fiber for the drops. They eventually went to hanging 2 fiber drops.
A lot of the infrastructure out here at least (Utah) is aerial. That makes it easier to run fiber along those easements.
When I’ve installed microducts, it seemed much less efficient than putting in a regular duct package. The potential for problems seemed much higher with microduct.

TaylorMade R9 Irons

This particular review set such as the ping rapture v2 irons had the Fujikura 65g Graphite iron shafts which undoubtedly contributed towards the high flight time. ishiner
