Hello, my name is Diarmuid Kelly and I recently moved to the USA to open the office of ANDsolution, Inc., a provider of software for the design & documentation of HFC, FTTx, RFoG and DTH networks.
Originally from Dublin, Ireland, I’ve actually spent most of my working life in Munich Germany where I joined Siemens telcommunications division back in 1985. Some 11 years later Siemens opened up a new business unit for access network technologies. Attracted by the buzz in the building I soon found myself responsible for technical sales for the company’s cable telephony solution (joint venture with SciAtlanta). And that’s when my love affair with the cable and fiber industry began.
In 1999 I left Siemens to become GM of GadLine Europe, subsidiary of the Israeli company GADLine Ltd., a pioneer in cable communicaitons including cable modems, cable ISDN and VoIP. GADLine was eventually acquired by COM21.
A couple of years later I moved on to ANDsolution and I was closely involved with the company as it evolved from a small local entity developing software for cable network design to one that began attracting attention from Europe’s major cable operators. Today, with probably over 35 million HP documented in the AND SystemSolution alone, the company is proud of its innovative and excellent solutions for the design and documentation of HFC, FTTx etc. networks. If you get a chance to look at one of our video clips you’ll begin to see why.
So now my challenge is to bring AND to North America and the trest of the world.
